Although your 130m² (1400 sf) apartment is part of the entire apartment, the owner’s areas are temporarily closed off during your stay to ensure your privacy.

During this time, the owner uses a separate side entrance, which is located near the entrance to your apartment.

The apartment is self-contained and comprises the entire ground floor of a two-family house. You’ll have the ground floor all to yourself. In the basement, there’s a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer that you can use at any time. There are also some locked storage rooms that are not accessible to you. You’ll be staying in a rural setting, in a typical Upper Bavarian village with about 500 residents.

A very nice family with young children lives on the upper floor. Please be considerate of the family from about 8 p.m. onwards. The neighborhood is very quiet, so we ask you to refrain from playing loud music or making noise in the garden after 8 p.m. Of course, you’re welcome to enjoy a relaxed get-together with normal conversation levels on the terrace.

We recommend arriving by car. There is a bus stop nearby, but the bus only runs about once an hour from Starnberg (S-Bahn station) to Hohenschäftlarn (S-Bahn station) and back. You can park your car at either of the S-Bahn stations and take the suburban train to Munich, which runs every 20 minutes and takes 25 to 30 minutes.

By car, you can reach Munich city center in about 25 minutes. The motorway access is only about 1 km (0.6 miles) from the apartment.

Since the apartment is also used privately when it is not rented out, some cupboards are marked as private and are not available for your use.
