Good to know:

• Heating: As is usual in Germany, central heating provides cozy warmth on cold days.
• Although one side of the apartment faces a highway, it is hardly noticeable acoustically due to soundproof windows. At this point, cars travel at only about 60 km/h. We measured street and big-city background noise directly at the apartment window facing the highway at a volume of 35 dB, which is equivalent to a conversation in a whisper (for comparison: a normal conversation is 50 dB, a loud street produces 80 dB of noise).
• For longer stays (14 days or more), an intermediate cleaning with linen and towel change is mandatory every 7 to 10 days for 239 euros per intermediate cleaning. Appointments by arrangement.
• The Lufthansa Express Bus stops at the “Nordfriedhof” subway station as the 1st stop when coming from the airport (25-minute ride), the fastest way to get from the airport to the apartment.
• For Oktoberfest visitors: The subway takes you to Goetheplatz in just 12 minutes, from there it’s just a few steps to the festival grounds.
• The entire apartment is equipped with fast mesh Wi-Fi with download speeds of at least 50 Mbps up to 250 Mbps from any location in the apartment.

We recommend arriving by car. There is a bus stop nearby, but the bus only runs about once an hour from Starnberg (S-Bahn station) to Hohenschäftlarn (S-Bahn station) and back. You can park your car at either of the S-Bahn stations and take the suburban train to Munich, which runs every 20 minutes and takes 25 to 30 minutes.

By car, you can reach Munich city center in about 25 minutes. The motorway access is only about 1 km (0.6 miles) from the apartment.
